Energy and automotive will be 100% combined in the future. In Sweden, there maybe will be soon only electric cars.
By 2025, one million electric cars will cross Swedish roads. At least, automotive manufacturer Volo made this to one of his top priorities.
But in some areas it is still not quite convinced: At least the manufacturer is planning further hybrid versions.
“THE PRICING OF NATURAL GAS, OIL AND COAL IS THE STRONGEST”, SAYS DR. SEBASTIAN PETRICK FROM DIW BERLIN.
Volvo CEO Håkan Samuelsson has an ambitious goal. He wants to be at the top of the electrification of the automotive industry in ten years at the latest.
This strategy is part of a sustainability program recently presented by Volvo, as sustainability will be the focus of all business activities. The program was named after the Swedish word “omtanke”, which means “consideration” or “care”.
In addition, Volvo is committed to introducing a climate-neutral operation by 2025 and raising the proportion of women in management positions to 35 per cent by 2020. The Swedish automobile manufacturer is working continuously on its goal that until 2020 nobody will be harmed in a new model.
