The new successor of the Huawei P Smart of the Chinese manufacturer Huawei was released in 2019: The Huawei P Smart 2019. The P-Series has been popular for a long time – especially the low priced Lite models. The new mobile phone lies with 250€ in the price middle class. The Design
In contrast to its predecessor, Huawei did not opt for an aluminium housing, but for one made of plastic. As a buyer you can choose between “Aurora Blue” and “Midnight Black”. The back is not made of glass, only of shiny plastic. At the back are the camera and the fingerprint sensor. The power switch and volume control are located on the right side of the smartphone in the upper third.
Display and camera
The almost rimless 6. 3 inch “Dewdrop Display” with a Full HD Plus resolution (2,340 x 1,080 pixels) comes with the smallest possible notch in drop form where the front camera is located. The chessboard contrast of the display is quite good with 148:1, but the luminosity is only 490 candela. In addition, the P Smart 2019 convinces with a color fidelity of 97 percent. The brightness can optionally be adjusted automatically. Absolutely sufficient for everyday use.
On the back there is a camera with two lenses. With 13 megapixels and an f/1. 8 aperture, photos come alive and get a natural bokeh effect. The 8 megapixel front camera uses AI technology to detect different scenes and optimize photos. Of course, the AI also recognizes the motifs of the rear camera and adjusts the settings accordingly. Only under poor lighting conditions does the quality suffer significantly.
Hardware and battery
Huawei has installed its HiSilicon Kirin 710 eight-core processor in the hardware of the 250 Euro smartphone. The mid-range processor is well suited for everyday tasks and applications. The Huawei Smart P 2019 also convinces with its 3,400 mAh rechargeable battery. With a runtime of 10 hours, the user can set enough power to play games or watch series. Unfortunately, wireless loading is not possible with this model.
Features
The Huawei Smart P 2019 is equipped with the Android 9 + EMUI 9.0 operating system, a fingerprint sensor on the back and a dedicated face recognition for unlocking the mobile phone by Face Unlock. With a Micro- USB interface, a Dual-Sim function, NFC, three GPS systems, Bluetooth 4. 2 and an expandable internal memory of 64Gb the mobile phone is a good partner. The phone comes with a headset, charger and USB cable, as well as a quick guide.
