Thanks to LG and Samsung, we could experience a real VR boom in 2016 – the first cost-effective 360-degree cameras hit the market since then.

Both manufacturers offer their products for the broad masses, market launch for Europe was in spring 2016.

With two 15 megapixel cameras with f2.0 aperture each the Samsung Gear 360 provides recording in 4K. The 360-degree camera is supposed to be waterproof, has a slot for microSDs and can be attached to any standard tripod.

A 1,350 mAh big battery provides filming for up to two hours. This allows some time to get the best 360-degree shot on any motive you like. And: you can plug in a spare battery just as simple as opening a white plastic lid on the Gear 360.

Pricing: the Samsung Gear 360 starts at 280,00 Euros. Right now you get a special bundle for 99 Euros – consisting of a Gear 360 and a Gear VR – if you decide to buy a Samsung Galaxy S7 edge smartphone.
