Este sistema podr\u00eda permitir, por primera vez, aplicaciones pr\u00e1cticas reales.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>El punto clave de los procesadores y ordenadores cu\u00e1nticos son los llamados \u00abqubits\u00bb, abreviatura de \u00abbits cu\u00e1nticos\u00bb. Como su nombre indica, se trata de una variante especial de los bits (d\u00edgitos binarios). A diferencia de los bits cl\u00e1sicos  &#8211; que solo pueden estar en estado 1 o 0, es decir, \u00abencendido\u00bb o \u00abapagado\u00bb &#8211; , los qubits pueden adoptar m\u00faltiples estados simult\u00e1neamente gracias al fen\u00f3meno de la entanglement (entrelazamiento cu\u00e1ntico).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As\u00ed, un \u00abbyte cu\u00e1ntico\u00bb formado por ocho qubits entrelazados puede representar te\u00f3ricamente todos los n\u00fameros del 0 al 255 al mismo tiempo. Cuantos m\u00e1s qubits tenga el sistema, mayor ser\u00e1 el n\u00famero de estados posibles y, por tanto, su potencia de c\u00e1lculo te\u00f3rica.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>No obstante, mantener la estabilidad de los qubits sigue siendo el gran desaf\u00edo t\u00e9cnico. Una startup b\u00e1vara, Planqc, afirma estar avanzando decididamente en esta direcci\u00f3n tras haber recibido un nuevo encargo del Centro de C\u00e1lculo Leibniz (LRZ, por sus siglas en alem\u00e1n), uno de los centros de supercomputaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s importantes de Alemania. M\u00e1s detalles a continuaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"margin-top:64px;margin-bottom:20px;padding-top:16px;\">Alemania lidera el campo de la computaci\u00f3n cu\u00e1ntica<\/h2>\n<p>En 2005, el f\u00edsico experimental germano-austriaco Rainer Blatt, de la Universidad de Innsbruck, fue el primero en lograr entrelazar ocho c\u00fabits. As\u00ed como los fundamentos de la f\u00edsica cu\u00e1ntica se remontan al f\u00edsico alem\u00e1n Max Planck, Alemania tambi\u00e9n ocupa una posici\u00f3n de liderazgo en el \u00e1mbito de la computaci\u00f3n cu\u00e1ntica. En enero de 2022 entr\u00f3 en funcionamiento en J\u00fclich (Renania del Norte-Westfalia) el primer ordenador cu\u00e1ntico europeo con m\u00e1s de 5.000 c\u00fabits. La mayor\u00eda de los r\u00e9cords anunciados hasta la fecha siguen situ\u00e1ndose a\u00fan en torno a los 1.000 c\u00fabits. Como ya se ha se\u00f1alado, la principal dificultad radica en mantener estables los c\u00fabits. Para conseguirlo, es necesario enfriarlos, tal como se hace en J\u00fclich, hasta temperaturas cercanas al cero absoluto (-273,15 \u00b0C), con el fin de preservar sus delicadas propiedades cu\u00e1nticas, seg\u00fan explica el <a href=\"https:\/\/nachrichten.idw-online.de\/2024\/03\/18\/zuwachs-fuer-juelicher-quantencomputer-infrastruktur\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">servicio de informaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica idw<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>La startup b\u00e1vara de computaci\u00f3n cu\u00e1ntica Planqc  &#8211; cuyo nombre no es casual, sino que alude precisamente a \u00abplanificaci\u00f3n cu\u00e1ntica\u00bb &#8211;  est\u00e1 adoptando un enfoque ligeramente distinto y acaba de recibir un encargo de 20 millones de euros del Leibniz-Rechenzentrum (Centro de C\u00e1lculo Leibniz), con sede tambi\u00e9n en Garching, cerca de M\u00fanich. Adem\u00e1s, ha obtenido otra promesa de financiaci\u00f3n por valor de 29 millones de euros, entre otros, del Centro Aeroespacial Alem\u00e1n (DLR).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"margin-top:64px;margin-bottom:20px;padding-top:16px;\">Planqc desarrolla c\u00fabits de alta calidad<\/h2>\n<p>El objetivo del proyecto MAQCS  &#8211; impulsado por el Instituto Max Planck de \u00d3ptica Cu\u00e1ntica (MPQ) en Garching &#8211;  es desarrollar, para 2027, un sistema especialmente adaptado a las exigencias de la inform\u00e1tica de alto rendimiento (HPC), que minimice los tiempos de latencia del ordenador cu\u00e1ntico.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u00abPara lograr esto \u00faltimo se requiere un n\u00famero muy elevado de c\u00fabits\u00bb, cita Business Insider Gr\u00fcnderszene a Sebastian Blatt, cofundador y director t\u00e9cnico (CTO) de Planqc. La similitud entre los nombres quiz\u00e1 sea casual, pero el pionero Rainer Blatt fue, en sus inicios, director cient\u00edfico del Munich Quantum Valley, ubicado tambi\u00e9n en el MPQ de Garching.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>En el caso de los c\u00fabits, no se trata tanto de cantidad como de calidad: latencia, tasa de correcci\u00f3n de errores, temperatura de funcionamiento y eficiencia de los algoritmos son factores clave.
